"As a musician, I am used to releasing my feelings in real time by playing the piano and improvising on the spot. I've always wanted to try painting, but never had the opportunity until Clarity's workshop. I realized the pace of painting with intention was so much slower than the act of playing my instrument, and it allowed so many emotions and nuances to come up that I had to face and express through the painting. During each iteration I felt another emotional layer come up, which I had to face and come to terms with as I gently let it be expressed. Thus, when I came to the final iteration, my heart was open enough to create something really pure and special that I still have hanging on my wall as a reminder of that healing process and my true self that was shining through with that art piece.
